FUNNYMOODS.COM

New Site! New Site!

Wednesday, November 07, 2001

Oh, Hello.

Yes. It's me. The journaler formerly known as plushparsley.8k.com.

And this is my new home.

Although, honestly, I'm not "formerly" open for business yet. But that's okay that you're here. Really. It is.

I know. I invited a slew of you. Those on my notify list got the advanced URL (hi kids!) and then all you beautiful Netscape users have been here for about a week because, you know, my site SUCKED in Netscape at the old place... which is actually the reason I got my butt in gear and started moving the site in the first place.

As for the name, Funnymoods.com -- it's mine. All mine. And please don't make fun of it. At least not to my face. All this domain-name picking stuff is hard and stressful. So much pressure to come up with something witty, funny, short, memorable, blah, blah, blah.... So, this is the best I could do and we're all going to play nicely and deal.

So, look around. Have fun. You'll notice a few changes. The biggest is that I've attempted to separate my health and fitness stuff from my regular journal. Hence the Health & Fitness Blog.

Other stuff I'm just moving and pushing around. Seeing how I like the arrangement. Minor pinches and tweaks. I'm still not settled on what the links on my right side bar will be so you'll notice some broken and inconsistent links for the time being. But I'm fixing them. Really. I am.

So, welcome! Enjoy. Let me know if anything sucks majorly bad or breaks your browser. I only want to make life as easy as possible for you all. Because I care...

Currently reading:
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, JK Rowling
To refresh my memory for the movie!

Black Hawk Down, Mark Bowden
I don't read nearly enough about war, the military or history in general. I thought this would be interesting, however, considering the current situation.

Clara, the Early Years, Margo Kaufman
I'm about to give up on this one.

Just finished:
White Teeth, Zadie Smith
Good -- but was difficult for me to claw through.

Grand Opening , John Hassler
I didn't think I'd like this book. It was for book club. But I ended up LOVING it. It's about a family that moves to a small town and is more real than nostalgic.
